Monisha Johnson is a Savannah native and a Georgia-licensed Certified Public Accountant. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Savannah State University in 2011 and a Master’s of Accountancy in 2016 from Georgia Southern University. She earned her private sector experience as a Staff Accountant at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at the Arch from 2012-2014. She relocated back to Savannah where she served as the Assistant Chief Budget Officer and Accounts Payable Supervisor for the City of Savannah from 2015 – 2021.
Community empowerment and wealth building have become her advocacy platforms due to the changing climate of local, regional, and national economics. It is her passion to aid disadvantaged businesses and entrepreneurs in developing sound financial practices that will sustain and expand their ventures.
