Sadé is a self described nerd; a lover of all things education and learning. Dedicated to breaking barriers and taking the community along with her. Originally from Snellville Georgia, 45 minutes northeast of Atlanta, Sadé came to Savannah to complete her undergraduate education and has called Savannah home ever since. As an undergraduate student she became interested in all things education, but especially issues of access and equity after a conversation with a classmate about textbooks and school provided resources.

In crafting her eloquent strategy to combat structural inequalities within educational systems this has led to her wearing many different hats within education—from accreditation and compliance, classroom teacher, and now as an on the ground agent of change here with Deep. The vehicle has changed, but the mission of systems change has remained the same.

Sadé holds a bachelors from Savannah State University in Biology with a concentration in Secondary Education, a M.Ed in Evaluation, Assessment, Research, and Learning from Georgia Southern and in true lifelong learning fashion, is currently pursuing an ED.d in Curriculum Studies.

She believes that every teacher deserves to be respected and recognized as professional change makers. Everyone has a favorite teacher that has shaped their path, whenever it was with a kind word, an impactful lesson or just a snack and some lotion, that influence alone deserves to be respected and praised.
