The health and economic impacts of COVID-19 are just beginning to press on our communities. Deep Center’s staff members are working with clear heads and open hearts towards the best possible outcomes for our young people and families.
We are acutely aware of how COVID-19 is exposing structural inequities that make the anticipated harms of COVID-19 exponentially greater for people already struggling on the margins. Because of this, we are advocating for just and equitable policies that will safeguard our community members who are already carrying more than their fair share of our nation’s challenges.
With this in mind, Deep Center presents our Facing COVID-19: Deep Center Mutual Aid Toolkit, a compilation of resources, policies, and practices designed to address the needs of those of us on the margins. This toolkit is a living document: our staff and community members will update it as needed to ensure it reflects the most accurate information and resources available. If you have ideas on how to make it better, please let us know.
