“Where are you from?”, folks always ask Jezmin Daniels. She responds, “Everywhere and nowhere”. Being a military child, Jezmin has uprooted from NY, NC, IL, and VA, with current  roots in GA. She blossoms wherever she goes, hoping to bring light and color to the humdrum of people’s lives. Living in so many different places has exposed her to the harsh realities of society and she hopes to create a space of self awareness and empathy with her poetry. “I believe I’m here to encourage folks, I want to help you feel better about the journey.”  If you’re ever fortunate to walk alongside Jezmin in public, you’ll witness the smiles she intentionally creates along the way. It’s almost annoying. Growing up as a Youth Pastor’s kid, Jezmin was put in a leadership position at a young age to create programs, events and often assigned to the pulpit for sermons, songs and spoken word.

Forward to the present, Jezmin still loves to speak life into folks, on and off the stage. She is a performing spoken word artist with a self-published journal of prompts and poems made especially for women like herself, who’ve struggled to love themselves. She is also a 2023 National Poetry Slam Finalist.

When Jezmin isn’t on her “Change Lives” mission, she’s just busy being a cool mom, wife, and friend.
