The White House (yes, that White House), has named Deep a finalist for the nation’s highest honor for youth arts programs!
We are in serious consideration for the President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities‘ National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award. In the coming month we’ll find out if we are winners.
We’ll be traveling to Washington DC, and, if we win, First Lady Michelle Obama will invite us to the White House, where she will personally present the award to André, a Deep young poet.
